|About the Book|
An honest, stream-of-consciousness view from nine women who served in Vietnam- I cant remember reading a more touching memoir of sorts. Familiar backgrounds mesh with different ages, but all experienced similar notions of empowerment, also frustration. They worked as teammates with doctors, often in charge of tasks that back home they never would have performed. Some remained in the military, a few did not. Their tales will resonate for ages, partially for the inexplicable situations they witnessed, mostly for their candor- after all those lost and wounded, the biggest question is why, what was the purpose? So much waste for so little reason.
