SinceMoreConversations was written by philosopher Philip Gregory and is an experimentation in capturing the essence of spoken argumentation. With all contexts removed, the reader is transported into the dialogue of two speakers of opposing viewpoints. Since readers can often be distracted by visual descriptions, and since it is sometimes better to get to know a character through what they say rather than how they appear in our mind, conversations was written to feel to the reader like a happenstance occurrence - like a an accidental overhearing of a random exchange of ideas. In each conversation, two people argue over a particular topic, such as: religion, sex, feminism, nationalism, absolutism, immortality, suicide, vanity, democracy, and more. The argumentation of both parties helps reveal the strengths and weaknesses of both positions. Some conversations are inspired by real life experiences and opinions, and some are not. The them of this first volume is relativity.
